My First Christmas!

Christmas weekend was fun, but cold and really WHITE! We got LOTS of that white stuff, called snow! Mommy and Daddy were a little sad that we weren't able to make it out to Grandma and Grandpa Hinshaw's for Christmas Eve. Instead, we stayed home and watched Christmas Vacation in our warm pjs!

Christmas morning was big for Mommy and Daddy because... they got engaged! That means they are going to be together forever... which we already knew, but I guess you have to get married to make it official to the rest of the world. Mommy is really happy and LOVES her new ring! It's pretty and sparkley, but was too big, so it is getting sized right now. She is really excited to show it off to friends and family! Anyway, I got TONS of presents on Christmas! Lots of clothes and toys to grow into! And... I finally got to meet my Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jacob! They are skinnier than folks here, and smell funny too (hehe J/K). I like them a lot... and I think they like me too! Uncle Jacob is one FUNNY guy!

SN: I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO looking forward to meeting my Grandma and Grandpa Franzen on New Years Day! They are coming to see me all the way from Nevada! This weekend should be JUST as fun as last!! :D

Good News!!!

Mommy and Daddy are getting married! I am glad that my Mommy will be a Franzen like me now!

Me and Mommy don't do much outside of the house these days... it's too cold! We like to stay warm in our pjs! Mommy hopes we don't get the snow that the weather people are saying we could get. I just hope not if it means I might not get to see Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jacob on Christmas Eve as planned.

SN: It's Wednesday, which means I am 11 weeks old today! :D

"Paci marks" and "Faux hawks"

I got to meet more family this weekend! Saturday, I went with Mommy and Nana to see my Great-Great-Grandma Jessie in the nursing home. She was really happy to meet me. She couldn't take her eyes off of me (and loved to touch my feet). I enjoyed talking to her... she made me smile!


Sunday was fun. I got to meet some of Grandpa D's family! We went to his Aunt Jane's house in Hillsboro. There were a lot of new faces to look at, but I didn't really interact too much with them because Aunt Sammy, Aunt Lindsey and Grandma Ju-Ju kept me to themselves. They fight over me... that's how cute I am! ;)

On the way there, Mommy sat in the back and stared at me while I slept (she's a stalker I tell you!) She likes to take pictures of my eye brows now that they are growing... she gets excited about them... weird, I know!

Then she thought it was funny that, after sucking on my paci for awhile, I had "paci marks" around my mouth. She is easily amused.



Mommy loves taking pictures of me in my onsies. I don't like it much... it's too cold!!




Mommy thought it would be fun to give me a "faux hawk" today. I guess it is pretty cool!

SN: I hear this really great holiday, Christmas, is only 5 days away! I look forward to it... and I especially look forward to meeting my Aunt Michelle who lives in Japan with her husband Jacob. Daddy and lots of others really miss her and wish she'd move back home. I hope she likes me! :D

Crib Success

The crib really isn't that bad. It's big, cozy, and I have some cool animals over head to look at! Last night I slept the entire night in my crib... Mommy didn't give up this time. When I woke up, she rocked be back to sleep and put me back in the crib. I fell asleep at 9pm and woke up for a short time at 12:30am and slept 'til 3:30am. Mommy was pretty shocked that I slept 6 hours straight (I kind of was too). From then on I was up every hour; 4:30, 6 and 7am. When I woke up at 7am I was quite content. I decided, instead of making Mommy rush to my rescue, I would talk to my animals over head for a little bit. I really like the owl... he knows a lot! Mommy is really happy this morning... I guess because she is proud of herself for making it all night not sleeping with me (I have a feeling we will be cuddling lots today).

Here I am yesterday taking a nap in my crib (I'm telling you... my Mommy will take a picture of me doing ANYTHING... or nothing I should say!)

Mommy is letting me watch Christmas movies this morning... I've never watched this huge colorful thing... but it is AWESOME!

Crib Challenge

Sorry, Mommy has been slacking with taking my picture lately since getting her video camera. Sadly, our computer is too slow to upload the videos, so it may be a little while 'til you are able to see me in action. Mommy decided last night to take the crib challenge. The challenge may be to get me to sleep in my crib, but also a challenge for Mommy not to snuggle with me all night like she loves to do. It took awhile for me to fall asleep for "good," but I was only able to last a few hours before I realized she wasn't next to me. I don't like sleeping alone much. After a few more tries she gave up and let me sleep in bed with her. I like that a lot and will sleep until SHE wakes ME up! :)
Mommy had me take my naps in my crib today. I didn't mind that too much, although my tummy was acting up again, so between naps I was a bit on the crabby side. Grandma Ju-Ju came to visit me when she got out of work. I enjoyed seeing her. Then I got a visit from Aunt Erica tonight. She caught me at my worst... I was in a lot of pain for a little while. When she left, Mommy gave me a bath! I LOVE baths! I like to soak in the water and kick my feet up along my tub.... it's sooo relaxing and takes the ease off my tummy! When I had to get out, I was NOT happy! My tummy ached and I cried a little while, which made me VERY sleepy! Mommy snuggled me, fed me, and wrapped my Happi Tummi around me. I then started to feel pretty good. (Did I mention I am writing this in my sleep?!)

This weekend was COLD... but FUN!

Daddy came home!!

And gave me a gazilion kisses.

I was happy to see him... although I may have been fussy that night because my tummy REALLY hurt. We went to Adam and Kassie's house Friday for dinner with Mommy and Daddy's friends. I might have cried most of the night causing Mommy to spend more time soothing me than enjoying herself (but I know she secretly loves it). Saturday, Daddy took me and Mommy to Chili's for lunch. I still had a bad tummy ache so I started crying as soon as Mommy's meal arrived (I knew she would be too busy eating to make sure I was okay), so she tried to soothe me by holding me close and bouncing me, but I can't take my mind off my tummy until I am eating, so you know what that means.... ;) Daddy ran into Meijer while we were out, to get me some gas drops... Mommy has been giving me them every 2 hours like it says and I must say I feel MUCH better!! Mommy is really happy and feels bad that she didn't try them again sooner.

Yesterday was Mommy's BIRTHDAY! I guess this is some kind of day made specially for her... or something like that. Daddy let Mommy pick whatever she wanted to do. I should mention it was a REALLY snowy and cold day, so she decided she didn't want to do too much out of the house. She decided she wanted to take me to see Santa and have lunch in the Food Court. So... I saw Santa! He was very nice and jolly! He had really rosey cheeks... check 'em out!

Everyone was excited that I was looking straight ahead. (I guess it is normally hard to get a 2 month old to do that for some reason). Last night we went to Aunt Robin's for a family dinner. She made some yummy Stromboli (or at least that is what I heard people say). Mommy got some really cool presents, one was a handy little video camera that she asked for. She has plans to capture me doing many a thing, then we can post the videos here for you to see. So you will now not only have pictures of me to smile at, but videos too!!
