To be... or NOT to be... that is the ?

Today I went to see Dr. Emm for my 4 month check-up! I really like Dr. Emm... I was giving him lots of smiles when he walked in the room. I weigh 13lbs 14oz (30th %), I'm 24 inches long (15th %... sorry Dad), and my head is 16 inches in diameter (45th %). After he looked me over, he told me the best news... I GET TO EAT SOLIDS! He had no rules (which I LOVE) on what to start when. He just said that I need to eat the same thing for 4 days to make sure I have no allergic reactions. As soon as we left the doctor we swung over to Wal-Mart (where it was pretty chaotic from the mad rush to stock up on grocieries before the snow storm traps us in the house for a few days) to pick up baby food and cereal! When Daddy got home I got to try green beans! I thought they were pretty good and I ate from the spoon like a pro! Like I've said before... it doesn't take me long! I look forward to cereal in the morning! :D

I think Daddy hopes eating solids will help me grow bigger and stronger. Mommy thinks I'm going to take after her, but Daddy disagrees. I will do my best to be big and strong, but so far I think I'm left handed like Mommy, have her digestive system, and have been a runt on the growth chart like her. Things can change though..... ;)

SN: Stay safe and warm if we get the foot+ of snow the weather people are saying we will be getting!

...Doesn't take me long!

TNT is...Grabbing things Mommy holds in front of me. I've been able to do this, but I have now pretty much perfected it! It doesn't take me long (as my Grandpa would say (says Mommy))!
...Now if only I could perfect getting the object to my mouth every time!

YTD

YTD (Yesterday's New Thing)
I learned how to gargle my spit! Okay, maybe that sounds gross to you, but Mommy and Daddy sure love when I do it! For now, it's my way of talking. Once again, I AMAZED Mommy and Daddy last night when I tried telling him how happy I was to see him when he got home from work. I'm glad they get so much amusement out of my struggle to learn new things. (Doesn't anyone realize I do NOT find it funny how hard this stuff is!)

GO BEARS!

Today is the Bears vs Packers game. Apparently this is a VERY important game because my whole family is excited to watch it and I got put in this pretty cool jersey.... I just don't get why the name "Cutler" is on the back (Shouldn't it say Franzen?!) Oh well.... Mommy thinks I'm pretty cute in it because she took a BILLION pictures of me! Here are just a few....

Practicing my throw! Daddy said Bears will be sending a jet for me if Cutler gets hurt... gotta be ready! :D (And yes Daddy... I am LEFT-handed!)

TNT:
I can JUMP in my Jumperoo! I just figured out how to really get moving in there... it's TONS O' FUN!

My poor baby!

It's Mommy! Jude is not feeling well today, so I am going to write for him... he said it was okay ;)
Wow, I am kind of nervous to write on his blog... I know he's pretty popular...I hope I can live up to his "bloggingness." Here goes...
On Monday, I started babysitting with my mom at her place. It has turned out to be pretty fun and I think Jude will love having kids to grow up with. My mom started babysitting when my sister was little (she's 6 years older than me), so I got to grow up having a house full of kids to play with everyday and I just LOVED it, so I am happy to be able to have Jude experience that too (while I get to love on him at the same time)! Sadly, there are upsides and downsides to being around several kids all day. Upsides: You have many friends starting at a young age, you can learn from eachother, you always have someone to play with. Downsides... someone will occationally steal your toy causing you to get upset with that person, you will do something similar to cause that person to have beef with you... but these things come and go in a matter of minutes, but one that doesn't go quickly enough is that you are bound to get sick when someone else is (oh the glorious power of germs). I would love to walk around with Lysol in me hand and clean everything Jude touches, but even if I did, I don't think I can prevent the evil airborne germs!! >:(
Wednesday morning at 2:45am he woke up coughing a little bit and I worried that he caught something, but it wasn't until late afternoon that I saw more signs that he wasn't feeling good. He had an occational cough and wasn't swallowing all of his spit. Luckily today is my day off (thanks Jill for not having to work, hehe) because he has a full blown cold... coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat. He slept almost 12 hours last night, but I kept waking up to his occational cough. How is it though, that even when he feels aweful, he is still soooo SWEET! I think he is more sweet than normal! He has been smiling at me every time he sees me, sleeping snuggled up in my arms on the couch, and... when I went to kiss his cheek he turned his head to kiss me on the lips! He is just ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! I love my baby boy more than any words could ever explain! I love being able to make him feel better! :D

Jude <---> Owen

Today was our first day to work! Mommy and I went to Nana's to babysit OWEN! He's so cool! He is almost 8 months old, so 4 months older than me, and is crawling and pulling himself up to anything he possibly can... he is quite the dare devil! I can't wait 'til he can show me how it's done! He is one happy baby... laughing and smiling all of the time!
Mommy and Nana had a hard time keeping our names straight... since my name is Jude Owen (if you didn't know), they mixed our names up a few times. I think we will be pretty good friends growing up together!

Movin' on up!

Oops! I forgot a TNT yesterday! Well I have a couple today! First things first... some pictures of little ole me! I am getting bigger. It's interesting to look back at the picture I posted of myself on my first post... I was so young! I've learned a lot since then!

Mommy put me in my jumperoo the other day and when she came back from doing the dishes she found me like this. I guess I'm like Daddy because I can fall asleep at any moment.
I know I've mentioned this before, but boy do I LOVE my baths! They are so relaxing!
Little close Ma!
And here is my TNT. Mommy hooked up my high chair and I got to sit in it for the first time! It's really fun being suspended so high off the ground with no one holding me! It's neat too because it turns 360 degrees, so I can watch Mommy do the dishes and cook (if she ever learns to...) or turn towards the table to sit with MaMa and DaDa as they eat! :D
Another TNT is that I laughed out loud when Mommy showed me Miley. I have laughed a few times in my sleep (I have some pretty funny dreams by the way!), but never more than one or two chuckles, but this time I had 4, yes, 4 chuckles in a row! I've never really payed attention to how silly those dogs really are! Anyway, Mommy ran to get the video camera, but when she got back I decided Miley wasn't so funny anymore. (hehe!)
SN: I get to see Taysia, Edyn and Alayna tomorrow! They are my cousins and I think they are pretty cool! We are also celebrating my Great-Grandma Sandy's birthday! Should be fun! :D

TNT... I'm dynomite!

TNT (Today's New Thing... not to be confused with dynomite... although I am pretty DYNOMITE! Hehe!)
I am learning how to grasp onto things better, and now I like to try to hold my bottle when Mommy feeds me. Mommy seems to be a little annoyed by it though... I guess it makes it more difficult for her. I don't get it... how can me helping make it more difficult?! She's silly!

New Thing

So there is a request that I write something on here everyday, so I am going to try by telling you what I have learned new or what has to change because of my ever-growing body each day.

Today's New Thing
Learning how to whine to get Mommy to do what I want. I've been doing it for a little while, but I really perfected it today! I got this face and whimper that really melts her... I get my plump bottom lip out in full force, while making the sadest eyebrows you ever did see. It's golden! Gets her EVERY time!!

"Hi!"

Mommy and Daddy think I am pretty smart because I have been able to say "hi" several times. It takes me awhile to work it out, but I am getting the hang of it. I guess I'm not supposed to be saying that yet... but what do they expect when they sit me in front of Your Baby Can Read every morning... I'm bound to learn something right?! The first time I said it was when Mommy was changing me and Aunt Erica was talking to me. She said "hi" then I said "hi", she said "hi" then I said "hi." Her and Mommy looked at eachother and were shocked that they both heard the same thing! Then last night Mommy and Daddy were amazed when we went back and forth saying hi to eachother. They are faster than me, but like I said I'm a little slow and have to move my mouth several times first before I get the sound out...

Sleeping through the night

Oh yeah... and... I slept through the night in my crib last night. Mommy put me to bed at 9pm and SHE had to wake ME up this morning at 5am. She is waking us up at 5am now because she has to get used to it starting next week to get to Nana's by 6:45am. Mommy is really happy with me staying asleep... although it scared her this morning when she realized she never had to get up last night. Every morning Mommy says, "Gooooood Moooorninnng" and it makes me smile. I love waking up to her voice! :D

Rockin' and Rollin'

Wow... what a busy couple of weeks I've had! I think I met more people than I have the whole time I've been born! (Okay, I know that's not THAT hard to do, but you know what I mean.) I finally got to meet my Grandpa and Grandma Franzen last week! They were pretty excited to see him... and were blowing off visiting with other people to get to see me more... I thought that was pretty nice of them... I guess they must really love me! I know I love them! :D They took me and the parentals to the mall to go shopping for me! They got me lots of goodies at BabyGap! I am stylin' for sure now! (I got these pretty cool shorts that I hear I get to wear this summer in something called a "kiddie pool." If it's anything like taking a bath... I am sure to love it!!)

So I am doing a lot more these days. I am getting much stronger and getting the hang of using these hands! I enjoy jumping in my Jumperoo and watching Your Baby Can Read (those words are so mesmerizing)! Mommy and Daddy are also working to get me rolling over. I can if I get help getting to my side... so I am close... I know it won't be much longer til I get to "rock 'n roll" wherever I want! That will be so cool!

Also... I don't care who knows it... I pooped all by myself this morning!! What a great feeling that was! (I was getting help from Mommy and Daddy everytime I needed to go, which was starting to get embarrassing.)

Because there are SOOOO many pictures from the last couple of weeks, Mommy posted them to her Facebook. So check 'em out there!

SN: This is me and Mommy's last week at home. Next week Mommy starts babysitting over at Nana's house. I hear I will have lots of fun playing with all the kids! I can't wait! :D
