Pee Pee in the POTTY!!

Mommy here. (Jude is in bed for the night.)  I just had to post how proud I am of my amazingly talented baby boy!  He went pee on his new potty before bed!!!  He loves his potty and sits there with no complaints.  We bought it on Sunday and gave it a try.... he enjoyed sitting on it while we sang Row, Row, Row Your Boat (like 50 times!), but he didn't go potty.  But, tonight, HE WENT!!  I realize we will have a long while before it's an every day thing, but if we can spare a diaper or two a day that would be awesome!!  I am just so excited for him!  Jude has truly been such an easy toddler thus far!  I hope Wren is just as happy, and as easy to please, as our darling Jude!  :)

*I will try to get pictures of him on his potty tomorrow!

We LOVE our new home!

Boy have our lives changed since my last post!  We just love our new home!!!  We are basically all settled in, and as a surprise to all, I have adjusted really well to my new surroundings!  I am now sleeping in a big boy toddler bed, and haven't had ANY problems with it.  I love my new backyard!!  The doggies love it too!  Soon, they will love it even more, when our fence goes up and their leashes come off! They are so much happier here, now that they can be around us more.

In my toddler bed, after taking a nap.
Only two days after we moved in, it was Easter.  We had both sides of the family over, since now, we have enough space to accommodate them all!  It's also much easier for us... no more driving to two houses (30 mins apart), scheduling different dinner times, trying to save room to eat at both places, and working around my nap.  Once, Wren is here, it will be even more convenient to have family to our home for the holidays!!

Me, Mommy (& Wren) and Daddy in our backyard on Easter!

I went to the doctor on the 10th for my 18 month check up.  I was 27 lbs, which is 65th percentile and 32 inches tall, 45th percentile.  Doctor noticed right away that I am very shy as I backed myself into the corner of the room trying to blend into the wall.  He said that my shyness is most likely the reason for my lack of vocabulary, but believes I will come out of my shell soon.  (I think he's right.)

This weekend I really tried to communicate more with Mommy.  I know she tries so hard to get my to talk to her.  For the past week if she is sitting on the floor, I have to sit on her lap.  Mommy and Wren provide some comfy support! :)  I love bringing her picture books to read to me.  I have a new favorite.... Things That Go Book with just about every thing you could think of that moves!  She will point to pictures and tell me what they are, I am learning really fast.  And now, when Mommy asks me where, the train, cars, baby, motorcycle, and truck is, I will point to them for her.  I also point to many items in my First Words book when asked to find them... apple, car, shoes, cat, dog, cow, ball, flower, duck, etc.  Mommy says she feels like she can see my brain growing... I'm just absorbing it all like a sponge!!!

Mommy was really sick on Saturday.  She started getting a stuffed up nose and sore throat on Friday night, which kept her up most of the night.  Saturday morning, she felt feverish, and her whole body was achy.  By the afternoon, her back, from top to bottom, was giving her a dull pain that felt like it did weeks before I was born.  It started to worry her and pained her enough that she called the doctor on call.  The doctor didn't answer, so Mommy looked up some information on the internet that said she could take Tylenol.  Less than 20minutes after taking the Tylenol, Mommy felt good as new!  She was so thankful that her back pain was gone and she was even breathing better!!  I'm glad Mommy and Wren are okay!

Mommy will be 25 weeks pregnant tomorrow... only a little over 3 more months until Wren will be born!!  I can't wait to meet my little sister!
