Swim Swim Swim!

I just realized that I forgot to mention how my swim lessons went 2 weeks ago!  Mommy and Daddy signed me up for the Tot Spot at Normal West High School swimming pool.  The water was supposed to feel nice and warm... well it wasn't warm... not one night!  I really didn't mind the temperature however... I'm tough!  Some of the little girls were shaking and chattering the whole time though!

You may want to ask, "So did you learn to swim, Jude?!"  The answer is, "No."  I'm 20 months old!  BUT... I think I gained more trust in Mommy and Daddy and I loved splashing and kicking in the water!  Both Mommy and Daddy dunked me all the way in several times throughout the lessons.  I wasn't too thrilled with that, but I think I handled it pretty well.  I know it will help me learn to swim in the future.

Sorry for the short video... Mommy's camera ran out of memory.

French kisser... no more!

Mommy here!

... I noticed Jude forgot to mention something memorable that has taken place.  I would like to announce that we no longer have a "french kisser" on our hands!  Jude has learned to give closed mouth kisses!!  Hooray! I am happy that I no longer need to wipe the slime from my mouth after each kiss from my little man!!  It's also so sweet to finally feel his soft baby lips on mine!

Mommy LOVES your KISSES, JUDE!!!!

xoxo forever, and ever!

Soaking it all in!

Mommy, Daddy, and I went to check on baby Wren today.  She is measuring right on target, and it won't be too much longer until we get to meet her face to face!  I am really looking forward to seeing my baby sister.  I hope she looks like me! :D

Lately, my brain has been acting as a sponge... soaking up as much information as possible.  I now know all of the Alphabet, numbers 1-10, many animals (cow, dog, cat, mouse, horse, spider, goat, pig, sheep, giraffe, elephant, lion, tiger, etc...), and after this morning, colors (purple, blue, green, orange, red, and yellow)!

Mommy gave me Fruit Loops after my oatmeal.  She laid each colored fruit loop out in a row and told me the color names.  She went over the colors only a few times before asking me to point to certain ones.  She was amazed when I pointed to the right color every time!!  It really doesn't take my brain long to remember anything she teaches me!  Daddy was psyched to see how well I knew my colors when he woke up!

No... I am still not talking.  I am supposed to be starting some speech therapy, which will hopefully help me develop my speaking skills.  Mommy and Daddy aren't too worried about it; they know I will eventually get the hang of it, but my doctor would just like to keep me on track with the rest of my peers.  I am ready!! :D
