FEVER....Fever....fever!

Sorry it has been awhile... I have been trying to tell Mommy that I need to post on my blog but she says "she's too busy" (I think that's bologna!)... oh well... I am.... SICK! (sick...sick...sick...) If you don't know why I am echoing that, go watch Sid, the Science Kid! Anyway, I had a fever all day yesterday and when it got to the highest temp of 103.4 at 5am this morning, Mommy decided we should go to the hospital. They looked me over and gave me a chest x-ray to make sure there was nothing wrong in there. When the results came back fine we went back home to keep doing what we were doing. Mommy was giving me Tylenol every 4 hours, and at around 1pm my fever... BROKE! (broke...broke...broke...) I still feel sick because my nose is all stuffed up and runny, and my throat hurts from my nasty cough!
Sadly, tonight I was supposed to meet my Mommy's friend, Alex, and her 5 month old son, Brody (who I guess will be a good friend of mine one day!), but now I can't because I am contagious. (whatever that means!) I guess I could get Brody sick from being around him and... if that is true... I will gladly stay away because no one deserves to feel like THIS!

TNT: Mommy took me on a short walk today so that I could smell the fresh air and see all of the wonderful things that I never get to see! I gotta say... I LOVE OUTSIDE! Outside is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait for the weather to stay nice so that I get to be out there more often!

Silly Daddy!

I know... it's been a little while! Well I've been a busy boy these last few days! Here's a run down of my latest TNTs...

1) I get to eat solids now! I have had cereal and have tried green beans and squash... all of which are quite tasty!

2) I have a couple favorite shows Mommy lets me watch in the morning when she is getting ready for the day... Word World and Sid the Science Kid!

I think Mommy likes Sid the Science Kid even more than I do! She wants to find me a Sid doll!

3) I found Daddy extremely funny tonight! He was out shoveling our front steps and kept hiding behind the shovel then jumping out saying "Judey!" It got me every time! What a silly Daddy I have! Mommy and Daddy were laughing too because I guess I have a funny laugh?! I don't know... they're crazy!

To be... or NOT to be... that is the ?

Today I went to see Dr. Emm for my 4 month check-up! I really like Dr. Emm... I was giving him lots of smiles when he walked in the room. I weigh 13lbs 14oz (30th %), I'm 24 inches long (15th %... sorry Dad), and my head is 16 inches in diameter (45th %). After he looked me over, he told me the best news... I GET TO EAT SOLIDS! He had no rules (which I LOVE) on what to start when. He just said that I need to eat the same thing for 4 days to make sure I have no allergic reactions. As soon as we left the doctor we swung over to Wal-Mart (where it was pretty chaotic from the mad rush to stock up on grocieries before the snow storm traps us in the house for a few days) to pick up baby food and cereal! When Daddy got home I got to try green beans! I thought they were pretty good and I ate from the spoon like a pro! Like I've said before... it doesn't take me long! I look forward to cereal in the morning! :D

I think Daddy hopes eating solids will help me grow bigger and stronger. Mommy thinks I'm going to take after her, but Daddy disagrees. I will do my best to be big and strong, but so far I think I'm left handed like Mommy, have her digestive system, and have been a runt on the growth chart like her. Things can change though..... ;)

TNT is...Grabbing things Mommy holds in front of me. I've been able to do this, but I have now pretty much perfected it! It doesn't take me long (as my Grandpa would say (says Mommy))!
...Now if only I could perfect getting the object to my mouth every time!

YTD (Yesterday's New Thing)
I learned how to gargle my spit! Okay, maybe that sounds gross to you, but Mommy and Daddy sure love when I do it! For now, it's my way of talking. Once again, I AMAZED Mommy and Daddy last night when I tried telling him how happy I was to see him when he got home from work. I'm glad they get so much amusement out of my struggle to learn new things. (Doesn't anyone realize I do NOT find it funny how hard this stuff is!)
