Surprise Mama!!!

Can you believe there is a new post this quickly?! Me either. Well, today was my playdate with Brody. We had a great time while it lasted. He hadn't had his nap yet, so he couldn't stay too long, but I think he enjoyed playing with my toys... even though as soon as he tried putting them in his mouth his Mommy took them away. I'm so jealous of the way he gets around all by himself! I can't wait till I can do that! I look forward to the next time we get to play again! Here is a picture of us with our Mamas!

So I guess when I turn 16 years old... lightyears away, I know.... Grandpa plans on giving me his Harley motorcycle. Mommy says there is no way she is letting me drive it, but Grandpa thinks differently. I have my Piggy bank on Mommy winning that fight. But I guess we will see what my thoughts are at that time. Anyway... Aunt Erica found this shirt that Grandpa just loves!

Big News! Daddy went for a bike ride and just came back. Mommy was in the middle of putting me to bed and Daddy asked if he could please see me for a little bit. Mommy agreed. So while, Mommy was in the living room, Daddy "said" he was going to read me a book, but instead, he slipped a beautiful diamond heart necklace around my neck and hide it under my shirt. He took me in to see mama, and told her I had something special for her. Daddy told Mommy to lift up my shirt... this is what she found! :D


Mommy was shocked that Daddy actually suprised her in such a special way! I guess he usually isn't that creative. Go Dad!

Oh Mr. Sun...

This is me on Mother's Day with the plant Mommy went ga-ga over. The flowers are beautiful which is why I told Daddy to go buy it for me. She said both things in this picture made for the perfect Mother's Day... but Daddy made it even better with an added gift of his own... a 60 minute massage at Aches Away!
I am currently working hard to move across the floor. My head is no longer too heavy to keep up and my arms are getting stronger. The problem I am having though, is that I am reaching them out as far as a can in front of me but it doesn't get me any farther. I guess I still need to figure out how to get this chubby tummy of mine off the floor. I am hoping to be getting around a little bit by Thursday, because I am having my first play date with Brody. Brody is Mommy's friend's little boy. He is 3 weeks older than me and is almost walking! I get that I was 3 weeks early, so I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but I don't want him to think I'm still an infant! I think I can do it... I actually really enjoy tummy time now too... I used to despise it! Mommy tells me she is proud of the progress I've made in just the past couple of days, so that helps me stay motivated! :)

...and now this week I am back in my warm footies. I was quite hot last week! I had never felt that way before. But I just LOVED being naked! Where did the warm weather go?! I want to go back outside and play!!!

Happy 7 mos. to me! Happy Birthday Grammy Pammy & Aunt Erica! & Happy Mother's Day, Mama!

Yes, I am still alive! Mommy still doesn't have a computer to help me with my blogs, so she finally got the bright idea to do them on Nana's computer when we are here all day during the week. Most people would have thought of this sooner, but I think my Mommy is just too lazy to think outside of the box sometimes... I love you Mama!

Today is Grammy Pammy's birthday! Happy birthday Grammy! I love you!

I will be 7 mos. old tomorrow! I am getting soooo big! Sadly, I currently have a cold, so Mommy took me to the doctor on Wednesday to make sure I didn't have an ear infection or anything of that nature, and thankfully I don't! I just have a really sore throat and am super congested! >:( I weighed in at 18lbs 5oz... it's fun seeing how fast I grow! Mama loves it, but I can see it in her eyes that she misses my little peanut-self as she constently removes more and more of my clothes that I have outgrown from my closet. I now comfortably fit in size 9 months. Some of the jackets I wear outside are 12 months! I LOVE being a big boy!

Unfortunantly, work comes with getting bigger... Mommy and Daddy are still trying to get me to roll over and crawl, but I'm just not ready! I prefer toys being brought to me, rather than me going to get them myself. (I don't see anything wrong with that!) Yesterday, I kind of threw my first "fit." (I'm irritable... give me a break!) But, when Mommy took away my ipad while I was trying to play the piano, I wasn't very happy! She tried to give it back... but I refused (not sure why either!), so Daddy took it away and I stopped crying after a minute. Like I said, I'm sick, so I get to be a little grumpy!

Who do I look like these days?! Well everyone has their own views, but Mama and especially Dada, think I look a lot like Mommy. Daddy says it's scary sometimes how much I look like Mommy, especially when I sleep. I wouldn't mind looking like either of them!

Taken yesterday after my little fit. Mommy took my blankie to wash it... then finally brought it back to me. It is the BEST when blankie is washed and smelling soooo good! I pulled it up to my face (my stinkin bib got in the way!) and fell asleep immediately!

Since it has been a while... I will list my current likes and dislikes to catch you up!

Likes- Almost all baby foods!, TV (but more specifically, Super WHY!, Backyardagans, Blue's Clues, Sid the Science Kid, Your Baby Can Read, just to name a few!), drinking from my sippy cup, getting in my car seat for a ride in the car, Sophie, Ralph, my paci, my blankie (aka Mommy's blankie!), waking up in my crib at 4am to finish sleeping in Mama and Dada's bed!, jumping in my Jumperoo, anything with pretty flashing lights, being outside to look at trees (I guess that's something my Mommy loved when she was a baby, and her first word was TREE... maybe mine will be too!), my nightly routine that includes a 3o minute massage from Mama!, and I love to play games such as pat-a-cake, and peek-a-boo with my blankie!

Dislikes- Loud noises, Elmo (and any other crazy looking characters!), tummy time (not always!), being fed a bottle when I don't want it (I can put up quite a fight!), and when I can't find Mama. I don't have too many things I don't like... I'm a good boy I tell ya!

Saturday is Aunt Erica's birthday.... she is turning the big 3-0! For some reason people don't like turning 30... I don't understand, because I LOVE getting older! Mommy, Daddy, and I have a big surprise for her! I am pretty sure she will love it! :D Then, Sunday is Mother's Day! We are going to Shannon's for lunch and both Mama and Dada's families will be there! I wonder how many time I will get passed around... oh well, I won't mind as long as I am feeling better! Should be a fun filled weekend!

Happy Mother's Day to Mommy, Nana Val, Grandma Julie, Grammy Pammy, Great-Grandma Sandy, Great-Grandma Gerri, Great-Great Grandma Jessie and all of you other Mothers out there! Mommy's are the best!! :D

Lovin' the new view!

I turned 6 months old on Wednesday! I went to see Dr. Emm and he said I look good! I am 17lbs 3oz and 26 1/3inches long! Both of which are in the 50th percentile. Glad to know I am finally average! And what's even more awesome is that I can now sit on my own! Mommy and Daddy worked with me Wednesday night for a couple of hours and now I am sitting like a pro! Webbles wobble BUT they don't fall down! I love the new view! It is quite a workout though and when I'm tired you will know it. I think I could be the easiest baby when it comes to falling asleep! I LOVE to SLEEP! I think that makes Mommy and Daddy pretty happy. Speaking of sleep.... I think it's time for a nap! Have a good weekend!

I know it has been a long time since my last post... But what can I do if my mommy is a slacker... I'm just a baby you know! Anyway, life is quite exciting these days! I'm learning so much and am really enjoying this weather! Mommy let me lay around in a onesie this afternoon and it felt great! (It gives me easy access to my toes when I'm not so restricted by clothing).
I am really getting the hang of this hand-eye coordination thing. I like to grab Mommy's hair when she gets close and then pull her in for a kiss! She sometimes complains that it hurts.... But that's her fault for getting within my reach.... Besides I know she really loves it! ;)
Yesterday, mommy and I went with Nana, Aunt Erica, Jamie, Taysia, and Allison to pick out bridesmaid dresses in Peoria. They found them pretty quickly and they all looked beautiful in Lapis! (If you don't know what color that is then I guess you are NOT smarter than a 5 month old!.... Okay, I guess I will be 6 months on Wednesday, but still... that's pretty bad!).
Today, me and the folks went to grandma and grandpa Hinshaws for lunch! It was fun and Grandma had some cool toys for me to play with! Aunt Kati and Grandpa were cracking me up!
So Mommy was slacking, once again, with getting pictures printed of me for my photo albums, so today she picked up her order of 976 pictures!! There are sooooo many and she said I will probably have a photo album full for each month of my first year! That is 12 photo albums!.... Anyone else think that's a little over kill! Well, I guess I know how much I am loved! :)
This weekend was fun, but I am now in bed getting rested up for my week of chaos! Just kidding.... I enjoy all of the excitement! I hope the weather is nice so I can go to the park again and swing! I just love to swing! Mommy and Daddy took my to Miller Park yesterday and I had soooo much fun swinging! They took pictures, so I will have Mommy post those tomorrow! I also got to see the ducks.... Mommy forgot the bread, so she said next time we can feed them!
