"Uh huh," "HIIII," "Bye," "No," "UH OH," "Moo," "Dada," "Mama"

Less than two weeks until we move into our new house!! I can't wait to run around and explore the place! I here I will have lots more room to roam! :D Mommy says we will be really busy in the days leading up to the move, so she said I should write a blog now (not sure if we will have time to write another for a couple of weeks). So, I guess I will give you an update on what I'm doing these days...
Well, I still don't say too many words, but I can communicate pretty much whatever I want to with sounds and gestures. Whenever we return home from being outside, I run over and grab the TV remote and the PS3 remote to hand to Mommy. I say "Uh huh" over and over and she knows I want my TV shows on. I say "Uh huh" whenever I want something.
I like to say "HIIIII" whenever I see myself in the mirror (or glass, metal trim at the bottom of front door, etc.) And I recently started saying "bye." I ran to the door and told Ashley, Allie's mom, bye when she dropped Allie off this morning.
Last week, Daddy was away for work for 3 days. We missed him, but, for some reason, when he got home, he asked me for a hug and I shook my head "no" and walked away saying "No." It was pretty mean of me, I must admit, but lucky for me anything I do makes Mommy and Daddy laugh and say I'm cute! It was my first time gesturing and talking at the same time... so I guess that makes up for my rudeness.
Whenever something drops on the floor (or I purposely drop it) I say "UH OH!" Mommy taught me this when I was playing with my Alphabet letter magnets on the refrigerator... they kept falling to the floor, so Mommy said "uh oh" and it sounded fun, so I joined in! :)
Mommy always asks me what different animals say (Dog, Cat, Cow, etc.) and my answer is always "Moo." I know that's just the cow, but it gets her to tell me the right answer and I like to hear her say the funny sounds! :D
And of course I can say Dada... and Mama, although I have never said it in front of anyone... (Mommy and Daddy heard me say it in my crib, over the monitor) I know I don't say as many words as a lot of 17 month olds, but I understand basically everything I've been told, and I know how to express myself, with or without words.
Mommy and Daddy are always talking about how sweet I am. I guess you could call me a lover, not a fighter. I love to give hugs and kisses!! And if someone is sad I'm always there to try to cheer them up. I give hugs and kisses to my favorite stuffed animals, too!

IT'S A GIRL!!

I'm going to have a little sister this summer! I can't wait to meet her! Her name is Wren Noel and she will be my best friend! :D Me, Mommy and Daddy found out last Thursday, and then waited to tell the family on Saturday. Mommy made cupcakes with hidden pink cake to surprise everyone when they unwrapped it! It was fun to watch everyone get really excited and happy! Wren is already loved by everyone. I'm not jealous though, I know I will still get just as much attention as I do right now. I'm too cute not to love on (or so I'm told)!

Mommy was 106.6 lbs at her appointment. Wren's heartbeat is still staying low at 147 bpm. Looks like the heartbeat rule doesn't work for us... I had a higher heartbeat when I was in Mommy's tummy and sissy has a lower heartbeat, which is the opposite of what people say the norm is. Boys are supposed to have low heart rates and girls high heart rates. Looks like we are unique!! :D

Mommy and Daddy are really excited to have a daughter. Mommy has already put together a Baby Registry at BabiesRUs. Nana and Papa went shopping there on Sunday to buy Wren TONS of clothes! Everyone is excited to get Wren everything she will need when she arrives. Mommy, Daddy and I are SO ready to move into our new house so we can get everything set up and ready for Wren!!

I love my baby sister!
