Less than two weeks until we move into our new house!! I can't wait to run around and explore the place! I here I will have lots more room to roam! :D Mommy says we will be really busy in the days leading up to the move, so she said I should write a blog now (not sure if we will have time to write another for a couple of weeks). So, I guess I will give you an update on what I'm doing these days...
Well, I still don't say too many words, but I can communicate pretty much whatever I want to with sounds and gestures. Whenever we return home from being outside, I run over and grab the TV remote and the PS3 remote to hand to Mommy. I say "Uh huh" over and over and she knows I want my TV shows on. I say "Uh huh" whenever I want something.
I like to say "HIIIII" whenever I see myself in the mirror (or glass, metal trim at the bottom of front door, etc.) And I recently started saying "bye." I ran to the door and told Ashley, Allie's mom, bye when she dropped Allie off this morning.
Last week, Daddy was away for work for 3 days. We missed him, but, for some reason, when he got home, he asked me for a hug and I shook my head "no" and walked away saying "No." It was pretty mean of me, I must admit, but lucky for me anything I do makes Mommy and Daddy laugh and say I'm cute! It was my first time gesturing and talking at the same time... so I guess that makes up for my rudeness.
Whenever something drops on the floor (or I purposely drop it) I say "UH OH!" Mommy taught me this when I was playing with my Alphabet letter magnets on the refrigerator... they kept falling to the floor, so Mommy said "uh oh" and it sounded fun, so I joined in! :)
Mommy always asks me what different animals say (Dog, Cat, Cow, etc.) and my answer is always "Moo." I know that's just the cow, but it gets her to tell me the right answer and I like to hear her say the funny sounds! :D
And of course I can say Dada... and Mama, although I have never said it in front of anyone... (Mommy and Daddy heard me say it in my crib, over the monitor) I know I don't say as many words as a lot of 17 month olds, but I understand basically everything I've been told, and I know how to express myself, with or without words.
Mommy and Daddy are always talking about how sweet I am. I guess you could call me a lover, not a fighter. I love to give hugs and kisses!! And if someone is sad I'm always there to try to cheer them up. I give hugs and kisses to my favorite stuffed animals, too!
